

AL2TCP

Software that acts as a gateway between mainframe-hosted airlines and
Unix.  Converts between P1024B (IPARS ALC) and TCP/IP.  

This software was originally developed by Fulko Hew of Westinghouse
Canada,  and was distributed by Westinghouse, and later, Northrup 
Grumman, as part of thier programming guide for the W9600.  This
software contans no copyright notices.  Although it is labelled 
"proprietary", it is freely distributed on thier web server at 
http://www.wecan.com/netprod/ipgw_prog.guide (February 1997).
(Note: The Westinghouse division that originally performed this work 
has been bought by Northrop-Grumman Canada. Northrop continues to
actively build, sell and support these products.

This software is intended for the "Northrop Grumman-Canada W9600 
Global Router".  This router is a box that consists of:

  -- a rack-mountable, ruggedized PC (Intel 486)
  -- some undisclosed version of Unix
  -- a W915 Communications Processor card.
